The proposed project aims to transform the old industrial area located in the western part of the coastal city of Thessaloniki into a business district. The fact that the design area has a productive identity and that it contains urban and public qualities that define the commercial identity of the city in its modern history is one of the main elements that this design proposal takes into account in the transformation of the space.

The decline in the city’s productive and commercial vitality over time has damaged many industrial structures in the Design Area, some of which have collapsed, making the Design
Area
a ‘l
ost space’ for the city.
